LIEBHERR 1500 GEAR CUTTING MACHINE OVERHAUL

Restoration of precision and reduction of operating backlash.

The Liebherr 1500 gear hobbing machine had poor manufacturing quality , with parts out of tolerance and accuracy problems.

After a detailed analysis we found excessive play on multiple critical machine components , including the machine vertical , table and play on the table feeds due to hydraulic piston wear.

To restore the maximum operational precision of the gear hobbing machine we performed an overhaul which included scraping of the upright guides to ensure parallelism, coupling with scraping of the head (vertical) to eliminate play and improve stability, scraping of the thieves , complete overhaul of the table to restore smoothness and reduce play, overhaul of the hydraulic piston and of the table locking system finally after reassembling the machine we performed various functional tests to verify the correct functioning of the piston and check the precision and reliability of the gear hobbing machine.
