LORENZ LS 400 GEAR MACHINE OVERHAUL

Eliminate noise and restore operational precision.

The Lorenz LS 400 gear hobbing machine was experiencing high noise levels and very poor workmanship with parts out of tolerance .

After a thorough analysis we identified the root cause of the problem; the machine was running without lubrication , causing abnormal wear on critical components.

To restore the machine to optimum performance, we performed a partial overhaul that included a complete cleaning of the lubrication system to eliminate residues and impurities that were obstructing the correct flow of oil, a complete overhaul of the upright with inspection and restoration of worn components, replacement of all cam and roller bearings, eliminating abnormal friction and ensuring smooth and precise movement, adjustment of the perpendicularity of the sleeve on the table, ensuring perfect alignment between the machine components, and finally, after reassembly, various functional tests were performed to verify performance after the intervention.
