REVIEW OF THE MINGANTI DCM 306 SHUTTERING MACHINE
Restoring accuracy in cradle reversals and machining gradations.
The Minganti DCM 306 gear hobbing machine presented errors in the cradle inversions and inaccuracies in the gradations, compromising the quality of the work and the repeatability of the machining.
After a detailed analysis we identified the cause of the problem as a malfunction of the transmission mechanism , due to worn components.
To ensure full recovery of the machine's functionality, we performed a series of interventions including the complete disassembly of the transmission mechanism with in-depth analysis of all components, checking and restoring worn parts, complete reassembly of the machine following a sequential sheet to ensure correct alignment of all components, recording and calibration of the cradle gradations and finally we performed various checks and functional tests to ensure the accuracy of the intervention.
