CLC 800-S HOBBING MACHINE REPAIR
Restoration of the stem and geometric precision of the head.
During the installation of the CLC 800-S gear hobbing machine, the machine suffered an impact which caused the sleeve to deform, compromising the alignment of the rotation axis.
The spindle rotated with an error of 0.05cm off-axis, causing inaccuracies in the machining and abnormal machine operation .
To restore geometric precision and operational reliability we performed a series of repair operations that included complete disassembly of the head , grinding of the sleeve to eliminate deformation and restore perfect concentricity, restoration work on the bushing and sleeve, application of turcite to improve sliding and reduce friction, manual scraping of the bushing to obtain a perfect fit, finally after reassembling the head and recording the perpendicularity of the sleeve we performed a series of functional tests to ensure correct alignment and precision of the machining.
