GLEASON 710 GEAR MACHINE REPAIR

Elimination of abnormal play and restoration of machining precision.

The Gleason 710 gear hobbing machine had a problem with play on the blades , which are the tools that perform the machining.

This caused noise and poor cutting quality , compromising the precision of the gear teeth.

After an in-depth technical analysis, we found that the mechanism transmitting motion to the blades had excessive play due to the wear of some internal components .

To restore the full efficiency of the machine, our team of technicians performed a repair intervention that included the complete disassembly of the transmission mechanisms to identify the damaged parts, a total overhaul of the blade motion mechanism restoring the correct transmission of movement, machining and restoration of worn components eliminating play and imperfections, complete replacement of the bearings improving the stability and silence of the machine and finally after reassembling the machine various functional tests were performed to verify the precision of the machining and the reduction of noise.
