LORENZ LS424 GEAR MACHINE REPAIR
Restoration of stroke recording mechanism and operational functionality.
The Lorenz LS 424 gear hobbing machine suffered a collision between the sleeve and the workpiece during the descent, causing the breakage of the connecting rod mechanism responsible for stroke registration, compromising the precision of the machine and causing irregular machining.
To restore the full operational efficiency of the machine we performed a repair operation that included the complete disassembly of the sleeve and all the components of the damaged mechanism, reconstruction of the broken components, total overhaul of the connecting rod mechanism with control and replacement of worn parts and finally after the complete reassembly of the machine we performed various functional tests to check the correct functioning of the mechanism.
