LORENZ SN7 GEAR MACHINE REPAIR

Resolution of rigidity in machine motion and restoration of operational fluidity.

The Lorenz SN7 gear hobbing machine had an excessively rigid machine mechanism , compromising the correct functioning of the transmission system.

After a thorough diagnosis we identified that the cause of the problem was in the main shaft that transmits motion to the connecting rod, it was blocked due to lack of lubrication causing abnormal friction and premature wear of the components.

To restore the correct functioning of the machine we performed a series of repair interventions that included the complete disassembly of the main shaft with detailed analysis of the state of wear, manual scraping of the bushing to eliminate irregularities, polishing of the shaft finally after reassembling the machine and checking the lubrication system and finally we performed a series of functional tests to verify the fluidity of the motion.
